DIAGNOSTIC IMAGES
Diagnosis is the analysis carried out to determine any situation and what the trends are. This determination is made on the basis of data and facts collected and systematically organized, which allow a better judgment of what is happening.
In the health field, it is the starting point for determining a good treatment plan and prognosis. For us, diagnosis is a priority and to achieve this we make use of all the technological tools at our disposal. Our staff is highly trained in the use and interpretation of digital intra- and extraoral radiology (with low radiation doses for our patients), computed axial tomography and the use of these imaging and clinical findings, applied to seek your health and well-being.
Intraoral Scanner:
Dentistry, like many other areas, is transforming into digital dentistry, and that does not mean that it will be managed by robots, but it has been incorporating digital tools and artificial intelligence for the development of processes and treatments, this allows us to provide our patients with ideal, predictable and comfortable results.
The intraoral scanner is a device that, with the help of image acquisition software and a sensor that captures 50,000 images per second, generates a 3D copy of your teeth, replacing what until very recently we did in an analogous way with trays and impression material, and then making a plaster cast.
The digital file is used for diagnosis and treatment and is integrated with CAD CAM software (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) which, depending on the specialty in which it is required, can be used for printing models, milling restorations, manufacturing crowns, veneers, inlays, manufacturing and designing orthodontic appliances, aligners, bruxism plates or programming the cementation of brackets.
This type of technology integrated with computed axial tomography (CAT) is used for computerized surgical planning in the placement of implants, minimizing the possibility of operator errors.
The equipment we have at your disposal is the Cerec Omnicam 2.0 from Dentsply Sirona, the dental division of the famous medical equipment company SIEMENS. With this equipment we achieve very high-resolution images that allow us to see your teeth in 3 dimensions and determine your treatment needs and design a treatment plan supported by technological development, that is digital dentistry.
Have you ever imagined that your dental treatment could be predicted thanks to artificial intelligence? Equipment like this detects whether what is being scanned is dental tissue or gum, or tongue, and makes the respective adjustments in the acquisition of the image, they are capable of detecting the morphology of your teeth and suggesting shapes and sizes for restorations, they have tools to take the color and be able to design restorations identical to your teeth, they have the ability to simulate dental movements to program the movements that we would make in your orthodontic treatment, preventing unwanted position changes or anticipating what will happen in the next phase of treatment.
